President Bola Tinubu has emphasized his government’s dedication to strengthening Nigeria’s security, education sector, and infrastructure. During the third General Hassan Usman Katsina Memorial Conference in Kaduna, represented by Special Assistant Alhaji Ibrahim Masari, the President stated that current policy shifts are building a path toward long-term national prosperity.
Regarding security, particularly in the North, the President expressed confidence that ongoing efforts would soon resolve the region’s challenges. In the education sector, he highlighted the success of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, which has supported over a million students. Additionally, the government has exempted tertiary institutions from the IPPIS payment system and provided significant funding through TETFund to improve campus facilities and research centers.
Infrastructure development remains a key priority, with the President noting ongoing work on critical transport links like the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Expressway and the Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway. Efforts to bolster the national power supply are also underway, involving projects like the Kaduna Power Station and the Gwagwalada Independent Power Plant. Furthermore, the former College of Petroleum and Energy Studies in Kaduna has been transformed into a university honoring General Hassan Usman Katsina, with academic operations already underway.
The administration is also advancing several rail projects, including the Kaduna-Kano and Kano-Maradi lines. By integrating these improvements with agriculture and social welfare programs, President Tinubu remains optimistic about fostering sustainable growth and calls on all citizens to support the collective goal of national progress.
