Fury dominated the 46-year-old Polish boxer throughout the match, leading his corner to stop the contest in the seventh round. This victory marks Fury’s second win of the year as he makes his comeback following a 16-month absence from the sport.
Focus now shifts to Anthony Joshua, who faces Kristian Prenga in Jeddah this Saturday. A win for Joshua could pave the way for the anticipated clash with Fury. However, Fury remained cautious, recalling past failed negotiations and stating he is not entirely confident the fight will materialize. Fury confirmed he would not travel to Saudi Arabia for the event, preferring to return home to his family.
Joshua enters this contest following a difficult period, including a vehicle accident in Nigeria last December that resulted in the deaths of two friends. His previous professional appearance was a defeat to IBF champion Daniel Dubois in September 2024.
