The Nigerian Defence Academy has scheduled an inter-company obstacle crossing contest for Short Service Cadets this Saturday at their Afaka location. Maj. Reuben Kovangiya, the academy’s spokesperson, stated that the event is a standard component of their training curriculum.
Running from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., the drill aims to evaluate the combat proficiency of cadets when navigating various obstacles. Maj. Kovangiya confirmed that the session will feature explosive simulations and advised local citizens to remain calm.
The training is confined to the Afaka area. Individuals living in Mando, Tsamiya, Kauya, and Afaka are particularly encouraged to take note of these activities. Officials have emphasized that comprehensive safety protocols are in effect to prevent any issues and requested that the community and news outlets share this update widely.
