Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has committed to a two-year contract extension with the Saudi Women’s Premier League side, Al-Ittihad Ladies. This agreement keeps the former Notts County player with the club through 2028.
Plumptre initially signed with the Tigers on a free transfer in September 2023 after her tenure at Leicester City concluded. During her 41 appearances, the 28-year-old has been highly productive, contributing 15 goals and 19 assists.
The defender is presently sidelined due to a foot injury that has kept her out of action since March. To ensure a complete recovery, she was excluded from the Nigeria squad for the upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Previously, she played a key role in the Super Falcons team that secured their 10th title during the 2024 WAFCON finals.
