Luka Modric has extended his stay at AC Milan, signing a one-year deal that will keep the veteran midfielder at the club past his 41st birthday. The Croatian international originally joined the Rossoneri last summer following a distinguished 13-year tenure at Real Madrid.
During his debut season in Italy, Modric made 37 appearances and netted two goals as Milan finished fifth in Serie A. Reflecting on the extension, he expressed his enthusiasm for the project and a strong desire to improve upon last season’s results. He also noted his excitement to work under new head coach Ruben Amorim, who recently took over from Massimiliano Allegri.
The club praised Modric, highlighting the experience, humility, and passion he brings to the squad. Known as one of the sport’s most successful players, the 2018 Ballon d’Or winner previously secured numerous titles, including six Champions League trophies during his time in Spain.
