Arsenal has secured the services of Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge in a transfer valued at £34 million. The 24-year-old Greek international has signed a long-term contract with the reigning Premier League champions, stepping in to bolster the squad following Leandro Trossard’s recent transfer to Besiktas.
During his tenure at Club Brugge, Tzolis demonstrated impressive offensive productivity, tallying 43 goals and 45 assists across 108 matches. Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta highlighted the player’s adaptability, noting his ability to perform effectively across the entire attacking line despite a preference for the left flank. Berta praised his technical skill, clinical finishing with both feet, and his capacity to create opportunities in constrained areas.
Tzolis is no stranger to English football, having previously spent time at Norwich City between 2021 and 2024. His career journey also includes loan stints at Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf. Reflecting on his move, the forward shared that he engaged in productive discussions with manager Mikel Arteta regarding the team’s future. The new recruit characterized himself as a direct attacker driven by a constant desire to score, assist, and contribute defensive work to the collective effort.
