The Ogun State branch of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) successfully prosecuted three individuals for narcotics offenses at the Federal High Court in Abeokuta. Public Relations Officer ASN Haris Musa confirmed these rulings in an official statement released on Wednesday.
Fatokun Rahmon, aged 49, received a 28-year prison sentence following his December 2025 arrest with 347 kilograms of Cannabis Sativa. In separate proceedings, 27-year-old Ogunnowo Wasiu was handed a 10-year term after being apprehended in April 2026 with Cannabis Sativa and Methamphetamine. Additionally, Jesutofumi Adeyemi was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his November 2022 possession of 3,523 kilograms of cannabis.
State Commander Tijjani Rabe hailed the verdicts as a significant achievement in the ongoing campaign against illegal drug rings. He praised the investigative and legal teams for their commitment to securing these convictions. Rabe emphasized that the agency will persist in its mission to dismantle criminal networks and encouraged residents to support these efforts by reporting suspicious activities to help maintain community safety.
