Four Arrested for Allegedly Threatening Kidnapping and Abduction in Anambra
The Anambra State Police Command has arrested four individuals who were allegedly threatening abduction and violence in the Ihiala area of the state.
A statement from the police revealed that intelligence reports indicated that some unidentified criminals were threatening to kidnap, commit violence, and engage in cyberstalking against innocent residents, particularly in Ihiala.
Following the report, police operatives arrested the four suspects—Chimezie Ezebuo, Chinaza Ndimani, Chinecherem Okafor, and Nzube Azubuike—all males from Okohia, Ihiala, at 2:53 PM on April 10, 2025.
‘’The Operatives recovered Phones and SIM cards used by the suspects to threaten their victims thereby causing panic in the area and jeopardizing the efforts of the Security Agencies and the general security of the State. Meanwhile, all the suspects confessed to the crime and were taken into custody for further interrogations.”
The State Police Command has reiterated its commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring that individuals who incite fear or disrupt public peace are held accountable for their actions.
