Razak Obe, the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources in Ondo State, has publicly blamed Minister of Interior Olubunmi Funji-Ojo for the ongoing turmoil within the state branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The party has faced significant instability following recent primary elections.
Disappointed candidates supporting Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa sought legal action last week regarding the primary results. These individuals are currently contesting the decisions made by the APC National Working Committee and the official candidate list provided to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
During an appearance on Arise TV this past Tuesday, Obe stated that the Interior Minister is actively instigating this friction. He claimed the Minister maintains a strong connection with the party’s National Chairman and is working against the Governor’s interests, unlike other stakeholders who support the current leadership.
