Online activist Martins Otse, frequently called VeryDarkMan, has publicly clarified the reasons behind his recent conflict with music star Davido. In a widely circulated video, the activist stated that the singer withdrew his support after a disagreement regarding political campaigning.
According to Otse, the tension began when he declined a payment of N50 million. He claimed this money was offered in exchange for him promoting the candidacy of Davido’s uncle, the current Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke. Otse emphasized that he chose to turn down the substantial sum despite the obvious financial appeal.
Addressing the history of their relationship, Otse mentioned that their communication had been limited for some time. He recalled a specific instance involving a donation for a young person in Ghana, which Davido had previously promised. After public backlash directed at him regarding the delay of that donation, Otse reached out to the singer to ensure the funds were delivered, which eventually led to the payment being completed.
