Influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were taken into custody in the United States following the announcement of additional criminal charges against them by British authorities. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) stated that Andrew Tate faces seven new counts of rape, alongside accusations involving sex trafficking and child pornography.
Tristan Tate is accused of one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts related to the facilitation of trafficking for sexual exploitation. These incidents reportedly occurred between July 2010 and August 2017, and both brothers have consistently maintained their innocence.
Malcolm McHaffie of the CPS Special Crime Division noted that these updates follow new evidence from Bedfordshire Police and bring the total number of alleged victims to seven. US Marshals confirmed the arrests, with a Department of Justice spokesperson clarifying that the action relates to extradition proceedings. The CPS intends to seek the formal extradition of both brothers to face these allegations. These new developments add to a list of 21 charges previously announced in May 2025 regarding events spanning 2012 to 2016.
