Panic has spread through Elewuro in the Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State following the brutal murder of a 30-year-old man identified as Delo.

His lifeless body was found in his room on Wednesday evening, October 16, 2024. Sources indicate that Delo was in his room at the time of the incident, although the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.

Concerns arose when Delo’s brother knocked on his door repeatedly but received no response. Alarmed tenants opened a window and discovered him motionless on his bed.

The Fagun Police Division was notified, and upon arrival, officers forced the door open to find bruises on Delo’s face, neck, and other areas of his body.

Delo’s brother was arrested after police found Delo’s phone in his possession before entering the room. Officers subsequently transported Delo’s remains to the morgue.

The tragic news of Delo’s death has shocked the community, leaving family and friends visibly distraught.

A police source confirmed that an investigation is currently underway, stating that personnel were dispatched to secure the scene, retrieve the body, and transfer the suspect to the State CID in Akure for further investigation.
