Prof. Ben Ifeanyi Odoh, the NDC senatorial candidate for Ebonyi Central, has endorsed Peter Obi for 2027, emphasizing a commitment to accountability and legislative reform.

Professor Ben Ifeanyi Odoh, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, has endorsed Peter Obi for the 2027 presidential election. Speaking in Abakaliki, Odoh highlighted Obi’s reputation for integrity and public service as key reasons for his support, urging voters to back the NDC ticket.

Odoh officially announced his INEC recognition as the party’s senatorial candidate during a town hall meeting. He addressed the nation’s current economic instability and insecurity, noting that these factors have caused many young people to lose faith in the country’s future. He argued that the Senate has been underutilized by past representatives and pledged to change this trend through active, policy-driven legislative work.

As a former Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University and a professor of geophysics, Odoh intends to leverage his technical expertise in education, solid minerals, and environmental management to craft meaningful national policies. He emphasized his track record of accountability, pointing to his decision as the former Secretary to the Ebonyi State Government to invite the EFCC to audit his tenure after leaving office in 2018. Odoh maintained that his professional background and commitment to public welfare make him an effective advocate for his constituents.
