Paul University has suspended Ven. Cornelius C. Eze indefinitely as it investigates serious allegations of misconduct involving the Anglican priest and staff member.

Paul University in Awka has suspended Ven. Cornelius C. Eze, a Practical Biology Technologist and Anglican priest, due to serious misconduct allegations. The institution announced the indefinite suspension on July 17, 2026, following reports received three days prior. Rev. Godisplan Onukwufor, the university’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed that the matter is currently being investigated by law enforcement to ensure order, as the situation sparked significant unrest among the student body.

A viral video currently spreading online appears to depict the staff member leaving his office in his underwear while a crowd reacts to the situation. Although the university did not address this specific footage, it emphasized a zero-tolerance policy regarding sexual misconduct and abuse of office. The administration is now providing counseling services to support those affected by the incident.

The university maintains that this administrative action does not indicate guilt before the conclusion of official inquiries. Authorities at the school have asked the public to avoid spreading rumors while investigations remain ongoing. They remain dedicated to upholding high ethical standards and ensuring a secure campus environment for all students and personnel.
