Jarrod Bowen commits to West Ham after relegation

West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen has decided to stay with the club following their relegation to the Championship, citing a commitment to lead the team back to the Premier League.

Jarrod Bowen has confirmed he will remain with West Ham United despite the club falling out of the Premier League. The 29-year-old England international faced rumors regarding a potential transfer after the team was relegated to the Championship last season.

Reflecting on his decision, the captain noted that he spent the summer carefully considering his future and personal happiness. Ultimately, his desire to help the club return to the top flight made the decision easy. Bowen recently traveled to Prague to speak with majority owner Daniel Kretinsky, where he was assured of the organization’s dedication to an immediate promotion. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo will also continue in his role.

Bowen, who joined from Hull in 2020, has tallied 85 goals during 280 matches for the club. He emphasized his deep connection to the team, noting that rising from a Championship player to team captain is a significant honor. He also praised the loyalty of the supporters, highlighting the impressive number of season ticket holders sticking with the club during this transition.
