The Independent National Electoral Commission has officially recognized Ambassador Shakirullahi Jimoh Oran’kan as the ACCORD Party candidate for the Oyo Central Senatorial District. This confirmation follows his successful performance in the June 28, 2026, party primary, where he emerged victorious after a challenging contest.
Representatives from the ICF Board of Trustees, Sheikh Ibrahim Alamo-li-Yekeen Agboluaje and Engineer Ismaheel Ajadi, praised the development through the Oran’kan Media Team. They stated that his inclusion on the official portal validates his candidacy and represents the electorate’s choice. ACCORD chieftain Dr. Lawrence Ajibola has called on party members in Egbeda to increase their mobilization efforts as the general election approaches.
Supporters are backing Oran’kan due to his history of public service and his stated plans for economic growth. The party is simultaneously campaigning for Alhaji (Dr) Oriyomi Hamzat, the ACCORD gubernatorial candidate, encouraging Oyo State residents to vote for their entire slate of candidates for the upcoming election cycle.
