Atletico Madrid Rejects Massive Offers for Julian Alvarez

Atletico Madrid CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin has firmly dismissed any possibility of selling Julian Alvarez, stating that the club would reject bids as high as €200m.

Miguel Angel Gil Marin, the CEO of Atletico Madrid, has stated that the club has no desire to part ways with forward Julian Alvarez. Addressing recent public remarks made by Barcelona president Joan Laporta, Gil Marin issued a video statement confirming that even a bid as high as €200m would not sway their decision.

Gil Marin emphasized that the organization’s stance is firm and has been communicated clearly to the player, their supporters, and Barcelona’s leadership. He expressed full confidence that Alvarez is the ideal fit for the club and that the team is the best environment for the athlete to succeed. Responding to claims regarding the limitations of previous bids, the CEO clarified that Atletico’s refusal to sell is absolute. The striker remains tied to the club through a contract containing a release clause valued at €500m.
