A recent violent incursion in the Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State has resulted in the deaths of two civilians and five members of the security forces. Security expert Bakatsine reported the details of this raid on the social media platform X.
During the assault, gunmen targeted the communities of Marake and Kaura, where they executed two locals and ignited fires that destroyed a shop, several homes, a car, and three motorbikes. Additional property damage was documented in the neighboring area of Karazau.
The five security officials died while attempting to repel the invaders. With the assistance of local volunteers, security teams ultimately prevented the criminals from seizing total control of the villages. As the affected families grieve, community members are demanding immediate intervention to halt the ongoing violence in Zamfara.
