Aso Rock Applauds Governor Uzodimma for Infrastructure Development in Imo

The Presidency has praised Governor Hope Uzodimma for high-quality infrastructure projects in Imo State, noting their alignment with federal development goals.

The federal government has lauded Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma for the impressive scale and standards of infrastructure work being executed across his state. Officials noted that these developments highlight effective governance and synergy between the federal and state tiers of government.

This praise emerged during a national media tour organized by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the Presidential Communications Team. A group of over 40 journalists joined the presidential team to evaluate both finished and active projects, including the Imo Digital City, a facility dedicated to device assembly and job creation for the youth.

The team also toured the 2,000-bed infectious disease centre, a collaborative project with the NNPCL, alongside the Heart Transplant Centre in Orlu and an expanded international convention centre. Additionally, they reviewed a new luxury hotel development and the 19-kilometre Orlu–Akokwa–Uga road, which aims to curb erosion and boost regional trade.

Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, emphasized that these initiatives support the Renewed Hope Agenda. He specifically highlighted advancements in medical education and the new University of Innovation, Science and Technology as vital steps toward a knowledge-driven economy. State Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba, affirmed that the administration remains committed to projects that benefit the public.
