During a Sunday service at Canaan Land in Ota, Ogun State, Bishop David Oyedepo advised his congregation to acquire their Permanent Voter Cards well in advance of the 2027 general elections. The sermon, themed ‘Breaking the Curses of Life,’ served as a platform for the Living Faith Church founder to remind his followers of their civic obligations.
Oyedepo explained that voter cards provide citizens with the necessary influence to determine their political leadership. He urged church members to view their votes as essential tools for national development, warning against passivity in democratic processes. The cleric highlighted that spiritual devotion should complement, rather than replace, one’s involvement in selecting government officials.
Addressing the massive size of his congregation, he emphasized that they possess a significant collective voice in determining the country’s future. He encouraged the faithful to act early rather than waiting for the final moments before the election period begins. Ultimately, the Bishop framed the acquisition of voter cards as a vital step toward personal and national transformation.
