The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has formally offered its sympathies to Rotimi Amaechi, the party’s vice-presidential nominee, after the passing of his mother, Mrs. Mary Amaechi.

Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Publicity Secretary for the party, released a statement on Thursday extending the organization’s support to the extended Amaechi family during their period of grief. The party remembered the late Mrs. Amaechi as a devoted parent whose personal strength and dedication left a lasting impact on her family and community.

In the official statement, the party emphasized that the legacy of a mother transcends her immediate home, noting that her contributions are seen in the values she shared and the people she helped nurture. The ADC expressed hope that the family might find solace in the memory of a fulfilled life and the collective support of Nigerians who share in their sorrow.

On behalf of the National Chairman, Senator David Mark, as well as the National Working Committee and the entire party membership, the ADC offered prayers for Mrs. Mary Amaechi to rest peacefully. They further asked for strength and solace to support the family throughout this challenging transition.
