Stoke City is reportedly interested in signing Nigerian striker Josh Maja. The 27-year-old recently exited West Bromwich Albion after contract renewal negotiations stalled.
Mark Robins, the manager at Stoke City, is said to be a fan of the player. Maja is no stranger to the club, having previously spent time there on loan from Girondins Bordeaux during the 2021/22 campaign. During that initial tenure, he managed only a single goal across 15 league matches.
Competition for his signature is emerging, with Watford and Bristol City also keeping tabs on his situation. Maja, who has made one appearance for the Nigerian national team, currently holds a market valuation of approximately €4.5 million. Since moving to West Brom from Bordeaux in 2023, he recorded 19 goals throughout 81 total outings.
