President Donald Trump has declared that American military actions targeting Iran will persist until he decides otherwise. In a Tuesday interview with Fox News, he suggested that key infrastructure, including power stations and bridges, remains at risk of attack. Furthermore, he declined to exclude the potential for future ground operations.
The president provided conflicting statements regarding diplomatic efforts. While initially claiming he had no desire for negotiations, he simultaneously asserted that attacks would continue unless Iran enters into talks. Trump mentioned that American officials reached out to Iranian counterparts on Tuesday to push for an agreement.
Regarding the status of the conflict, Trump noted that military objectives to diminish Iranian capabilities have largely been reached. Despite claiming his current goals are met, he insisted the bombing campaign would not cease immediately.
