Kwara State Police Commissioner Ojo Adekimi has initiated a thorough investigation into the death of Azeez Garba, a farmer found murdered on his property near the Owa-Onire area in Isin Local Government. The victim’s daughter, Abdulazeez Rofiat, reported the tragedy and urged authorities to take action.
Commissioner Adekimi denounced the violence as unacceptable and tasked the State Criminal Investigation Department with finding the perpetrators. Command spokesperson SP Adetoun Ejire Adeyemi stated that the farmer disappeared after heading to his fields. His family and local security groups organized a search, eventually locating his motorcycle and his body, which sustained severe machete injuries.
Although no suspects are currently in custody, police officials promised that they are following every potential lead. The command reaffirmed its pledge to protect the residents of Kwara State and vowed to prosecute everyone involved in the incident.
