Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger has commended Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal for his impressive performances with the Blaugrana, stating that the 17-year-old has been exceptional so far.

In a statement shared by Fabrizio Romano on his X account on Friday, Rudiger remarked, “What Lamine is doing is ridiculous! You have to give him credit. He plays for Barcelona at 17, what he did at the Euros… I hope he stays healthy, he has a brilliant future”.

“It’s pretty scary what he’s doing, to be fair!”.

The teenager has already played 61 matches for the first team of the Catalan giants and has contributed to 26 goals, with 12 goals and 14 assists.

He was a crucial player in Xavi’s team last season and played a significant role in Spain’s victory at Euro 2024.

Additionally, he has made an impressive start to the new campaign under Hansi Flick, contributing to 10 goals in as many matches.

Real Madrid will host Barcelona on October 26, 2024, as they aim to defend their La Liga title at the Bernabeu.
