The Governor shared this appeal on Tuesday during a visit to the Och’Idoma, His Royal Majesty, Dr. John Elaigwu, at his palace in Otukpo.

Governor Alia encouraged the youth and all community members to maintain order while security forces work to locate the perpetrators. He reaffirmed that his government remains dedicated to working with agencies to eliminate insecurity.

A future meeting with community stakeholders is planned to discuss strategies for achieving permanent stability. Furthermore, the Ad’Ohimini, Dr. John Ochai, thanked the Governor for his support during this crisis.

Concluding his visit, Governor Alia went to the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital in Otukpo to check on survivors. He praised the hospital leadership for their quick response and pledged that the state would cover the medical expenses for all victims.
