Sowore urges investigation into Gbajabiamila following Adeyemi’s arrest

Omoyele Sowore claims the arrest of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi is a cover-up for a N400 million bribery scandal and demands an investigation into Femi Gbajabiamila.

Activist and political figure Omoyele Sowore claims that the recent detention of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi for allegedly managing a counterfeit government organization is a distraction. Sowore asserts this move is a strategy to obscure details surrounding a N400 million bribery controversy.

Sharing his thoughts on X, Sowore suggested that the handling of Adeyemi’s case suggests a state-sanctioned effort to hide facts rather than pursue justice. He explicitly stated that Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, deserves similar scrutiny if the government intends to act transparently.

Sowore further noted that an individual purportedly involved in receiving the N400 million bribe for Gbajabiamila passed away under suspicious conditions, and the hotel allegedly linked to the incident has since been razed. He condemned the current administration for what he labels as the obstruction of justice. Adeyemi was apprehended by police in Osun State following a court-issued bench warrant. The Federal High Court in Abuja had ordered his arrest due to his failure to attend proceedings regarding allegations of fraud, impersonation, and forgery.
