A Kano teacher accused of raping four twin sisters is scheduled for arraignment in October after the court ordered the prosecution to share evidence with the defense.

Kamal Abdulmumini, an instructor at Alhadid Nursery and Primary School, is set to face court proceedings on October 13 and 14, 2026. Justice Suleiman Baba Na Mallam of the Kano State High Court scheduled these dates for the defendant’s arraignment and the commencement of the hearing regarding allegations that he raped four twin sisters within his office.

During Tuesday’s session, defense lawyer Nasir Abdurrahman asked for access to case files and relevant documentation to ready his client’s defense. In response, Justice Na Mallam directed the prosecution to grant the defense team the required case materials.

Abdulmumini, who lives in Yar Adua Quarters, stands accused of assaulting the four minors at different times inside his office at Alhadid Model College in Inusawa Quarters, Ungogo Local Government Area. Representing the state, Director of Public Prosecutions Abdullahi Muhammad confirmed that five witnesses are prepared to provide testimony against the accused. Following the session, defense counsel Abdurrahman did not provide any statements to the press.
