Dangote Group Introduces N500,000 Bounty for Whistleblowers Reporting Illegal Haulage

Dangote Industries Limited has launched a whistleblowing initiative offering N500,000 to individuals who report trucks engaged in the illegal transportation of unauthorized goods.

Dangote Industries Limited has launched a whistleblowing program to curb the misuse of its company trucks for unauthorized transportation. The initiative offers a N500,000 cash reward to anyone who provides actionable intelligence resulting in the apprehension of offenders or the seizure of illegal cargo.

The company maintains that its fleet must only carry approved items. For instance, Dangote Cement trucks are restricted to cement, limestone, coal, gypsum, and clinker. Similarly, vehicles from the sugar, salt, packaging, refinery, and fertilizer subsidiaries are strictly designated for their respective products. Any deviation from these goods is considered illegal haulage.

Management has explicitly warned that drivers and owners associated with unauthorized cargo face potential arrest, cargo seizure, and legal prosecution. To assist in enforcement, the company has urged the public to report sightings of suspicious truck activity by providing details such as vehicle registration, cab numbers, location, and photographic evidence.

Dedicated telephone lines have been set up to facilitate these reports, particularly for operations originating from the Obajana, Okpella, and Gboko plants. The police and other law enforcement agencies have been empowered to take action against any drivers caught engaging in such fraudulent logistics practices.

This campaign is part of a broader push to ensure transparency and uphold the integrity of the Dangote supply chain. The organization remains committed to a zero-tolerance policy against logistics fraud and is actively seeking community support to secure its brand operations nationwide.
