NNPC Records N19.04 Trillion Revenue in Half-Year Financial Report

The NNPC recorded N19.04 trillion in revenue and N2.28 trillion in profit during the first half of 2026, alongside progress on critical gas infrastructure.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited reported a total revenue of N19.04 trillion for the first half of 2026. Despite inconsistent crude oil production, the company achieved a profit after tax of N2.28 trillion during this period.

According to the company’s June 2026 financial report, revenue saw varied monthly performance. Earnings began at N2.57 trillion in January, peaked at N4.97 trillion in April, and concluded at N4.39 trillion in June. Profitability followed a similar path, starting at N385 billion in January and reaching a peak of N535 billion in June, which marks the highest monthly profit for the firm this year.

Statutory payments to the Federation reached N6.286 trillion over the six-month span. Production data indicated that crude oil and condensate output dipped slightly to 1.72 million barrels per day in June, a decrease attributed to facility maintenance and operational challenges. Conversely, natural gas production rose to 7.841 million standard cubic feet per day, aligning with the company’s commitment to energy transition.

Major infrastructure projects are nearing conclusion. The Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben gas pipeline is 98 percent complete, with an expected launch in August 2026. Furthermore, the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano pipeline has reached 94 percent completion, keeping it on track for anticipated gas delivery to Abuja later this year.
