Jigawa State’s Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) confirmed that 107,180 primary students took the 2026 common entrance assessment for junior secondary placement.
Professor Haruna Musa, the Board’s Executive Chairman, provided these figures during a visit to the Fagoji Primary School testing site in Dutse. To facilitate a smooth process, the Board organized 180 distinct testing locations throughout the region.
Professor Musa issued a stern warning to educators, forbidding any involvement in exam dishonesty. He emphasized that students must rely on their own preparation, noting that staff caught assisting candidates would be subject to strict penalties. The examination included attendees from both private and government-run primary schools. Ultimately, the chairman praised the calm atmosphere of the testing day and expects a prompt release of the final scores.
