Osun Police Command Outlines Plan to Address Alleged Criminals in Government House

Osun State Police are preparing to address reports of criminals hiding in the Government House, while carefully adhering to legal immunity protocols.

The Osun State Police Command has announced plans to confront individuals suspected of criminal activity currently sheltered within the State Government House. DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, the command spokesperson, explained that while the police intend to act, they must navigate specific legal protections afforded to the premises.

According to Ojelabi, the Government House operates under certain immunities. He noted that the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has mandated that strict procedures must be observed to gain entry. The command aims to avoid any accusations regarding the violation of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s privacy.

This situation follows remarks made by Disu during a recent meeting with Governor Adeleke, which took place prior to the August 15 gubernatorial election. Although Governor Adeleke explicitly requested that the police prosecute any offenders, the command continues to prioritize adherence to legal protocols to ensure their operations remain beyond reproach.
