Wolverhampton Wanderers have dismissed a transfer offer from Fiorentina regarding forward Tolu Arokodare, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano. Although Turkish team Trabzonspor also presented a bid for the striker, the player has no interest in joining that club.
Romano stated via social media that while Fiorentina’s approach was rebuffed by the English side, Trabzonspor’s interest remains stalled due to Arokodare’s reluctance. The Premier League club currently values the Nigerian international at upwards of €20 million.
Since Wolves were relegated from the top flight, the 25-year-old has been frequently mentioned in transfer rumors. Arokodare arrived at the club last summer from KRC Genk on a contract valued at £23.4 million, which includes an optional extra year.
The forward has struggled to meet expectations since his arrival. During his 33 league appearances for the team, he managed only three goals and a single assist.
