Daniel Bwala, a special advisor on policy communication to President Bola Tinubu, has publicly criticized presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi. He claims both men harbor disdain for the Nigerian public. Bwala’s assessment follows recent incidents involving the two political figures.
He pointed to Peter Obi’s recent issues at an airport, where officials clamped his vehicle for violating parking rules. Bwala dismissed Obi’s claims regarding his safety as hyperbolic. Additionally, Bwala condemned Atiku Abubakar for failing to acknowledge the recent rescue of abducted students and teachers in Oyo State. He suggested that Atiku only engages with news when he can frame it as a sign of national failure.
Bwala characterized these behaviors as evidence that the opposition leaders prioritize political gain over the welfare of citizens. He concluded that both men are disconnected from the value of human dignity, suggesting their actions are driven by desperation to attain power.
