Harrison Gwamnishu warns of remaining armed bandits in Delta forests following Abubakar Usman’s arrest

Activist Harrison Gwamnishu reports that despite the capture of notorious bandit Abubakar Usman, armed gang members hiding as cattle herders remain active in Delta State forests.

Human rights advocate Harrison Gwamnishu, who recently worked with the Delta State Police to capture the high-profile criminal Abubakar Usman, has cautioned that danger persists in the local forests. Gwamnishu shared an update on X this Saturday, highlighting that while Usman is in custody, his armed associates are still hiding within the region.

Reports indicate that these criminals are posing as cattle herders to avoid detection. Gwamnishu emphasized that these individuals are heavily armed and may be organizing future kidnapping attempts. He specifically urged the inhabitants of Ubulu-Uku, Ogwashi-Uku, Igbodo, Ute-Ogbeje, Ubulu-Unor, and Obior to prioritize their security.

The activist advised residents to monitor their surroundings closely and report any unusual behavior to local law enforcement. He stressed that community cooperation and active observation are vital to maintaining public safety while these armed suspects remain at large.
