Kane explained that he accepted the invitation simply because it is difficult to turn down the president. Reflecting on the outing, the striker noted that he performed respectably on the course, though he was particularly struck by the quality of Trump’s playing ability. He expressed a desire to maintain a similar level of skill once he reaches the president’s age.
Trump had previously mentioned their game to the media following England’s recent World Cup victory against Mexico. The president offered praise for Kane, labeling him an excellent player and a skilled golfer.
