ACF claims fraudulent agencies operated during Buhari presidency

The Arewa Consultative Forum suggests that fraudulent government agencies existed under the Buhari administration and were potentially rebranded to deceive the public.

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) asserts that counterfeit government bodies operated during the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari. According to the group, individuals within the government possess the expertise required to exploit the Nigerian administrative framework.

These claims arise amid the scandal involving the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). The Presidency has distanced itself from the organization, labeling it fraudulent, while the council’s leader, Adeniyi Adeyemi, remains missing.

During an appearance on Arise Television, ACF National Publicity Secretary Professor Tukur Baba noted that the PFIPC appears to be a recycled version of an office from the prior administration, simply rebranded with the prefix ‘Presidential’.

Adeyemi previously accused Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila of soliciting millions in bribes for appointments. The Presidency has dismissed these claims, stating that the Chief of Staff lacks the authority to issue such appointments. Professor Baba questioned the oversight process, asking how such an entity could function without being identified during budget defenses, characterizing the ease of this manipulation as a deeply concerning issue.
