Benjamin Fredrick Secures New Brentford Contract and Senior Squad Promotion

Brentford has elevated Super Eagles defender Benjamin Fredrick to the first team and secured him with a new four-year contract.

Brentford has officially promoted Nigerian defender Benjamin Fredrick to their first-team roster for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign. The 21-year-old center-back has also inked a fresh four-year agreement, which includes a club option to extend the deal by an additional season.

Fredrick first arrived at the club in August 2023 on a loan deal from Simoiben Football Academy to join the Brentford B squad. Following appearances as an unused substitute in both league and FA Cup fixtures, the organization finalized a permanent transfer in April 2024.

The defender spent the previous term on loan with Dender EH, a club competing in the Belgian Pro League. His development faced a hurdle last November when he suffered an injury during a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match for Nigeria against the Democratic Republic of Congo, resulting in an extended period on the sidelines.
