Security officers at the Federal University of Education, Pankshin, located in Plateau State, thwarted a burglary attempt and successfully detained a suspect. The incident took place this past Wednesday, even as intense rainfall occurred on the campus grounds. The individual was caught in the act of removing electrical fixtures and various appliances from a classroom.
Charles Nda Homsuk, the school’s Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, verified the event on Thursday. He noted that the security team intervened rapidly to stop the theft and retrieve the university property. The suspect is currently in police custody for official questioning and potential legal proceedings. Homsuk affirmed that the university continues to prioritize the protection of its campus community and physical assets through vigilant security protocols.
