EFCC Cautions Comedians and Skit Makers Against Unauthorized Use of Its Uniform and Resources for Entertainment
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has once again urged comedians and skit makers to stop using its operational equipment in their videos.
In a statement on Monday, the EFCC highlighted that an “old video titled ‘EFCC and Army Wahala’ is gaining renewed attention on social media.”
The commission reiterated its warning to skit makers and other content creators to refrain from illegally and irresponsibly using its operational resources.
“EFCC and Army Wahala” presents a distorted portrayal of the EFCC’s operational standards. The video shamefully depicts supposed operatives of the commission terrorizing “suspects,” which is not only embarrassing but also reflects a deliberate attempt to tarnish the EFCC’s reputation.
“EFCC operatives are not bullies; they are trained as professional law enforcement officers who uphold decency, civility, and respect for all individuals, including those suspected of economic and financial crimes.
Skit makers are once again warned to refrain from unauthorized use of the commission’s resources.”
