The Zamfara State Environmental Sanitation and Enforcement Agency (ZEPEA) is set to implement a refreshed strategy for its monthly sanitation events, citing a marked rise in public adherence to the rules. This announcement followed the completion of the July sanitation drive in Gusau.
Speaking on behalf of the agency, Permanent Member I, Alhaji Sani Muhammad Mayanci, noted that the strong participation reflects an improved community awareness regarding environmental hygiene. Because of this success, the organization is currently evaluating new methods to bolster and keep the program effective statewide.
The agency expressed gratitude to residents who followed the sanitation guidelines, emphasizing that their cooperation was a key factor in the event’s overall success. Additionally, leadership encouraged non-compliant individuals to recognize that these regular cleanups are vital for safeguarding community health and limiting the transmission of diseases.
