Akeem Busari, the head coach of the Flamingos, expects his team to successfully qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, according to the Daily Post. Nigeria faces Benin Republic in a two-legged playoff to determine who reaches the tournament in Morocco.
The opening leg takes place this Saturday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, with the return match scheduled for the following weekend at the Stade de Kegue in Lome. Busari enters the tie following a dominant 11-0 aggregate victory over Guinea.
Addressing the upcoming challenge, Busari noted that while Benin Republic will be a difficult opponent, his players are ready for the test. He emphasized the importance of the home fixture and expressed confidence that his team will emerge victorious over the two matches.
