Timi Frank Urges Forensic Investigation Into Dolapo Tanimola’s Hotel Death

Timi Frank is calling for a forensic investigation into the mysterious death of Dolapo Tanimola, a central figure in a high-profile corruption scandal involving the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council.

Timi Frank, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, has formally requested a forensic examination into the mysterious passing of Dolapo Babatunde Tanimola. Tanimola was a key figure serving as a mediator in an ongoing bribery and appointment scandal.

In a public statement released on Friday, Frank argued that the public and the deceased’s grieving family are owed a clear explanation regarding the circumstances of his death. He noted that Tanimola’s testimony would have been vital to understanding the inner workings of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

The presidency, through spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, has previously rejected allegations linking Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila to the activities of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) and its leader, Adeniyi Adeyemi. According to the presidency, police reports indicate Tanimola died in an Abuja hotel days before Adeyemi was taken into custody.

Frank remains skeptical, insisting that Tanimola’s role as an intermediary necessitates an independent probe. He has appealed to international partners, including the European Union and the United States, to assist in investigating the systemic corruption allegations. Frank contends that an organization like the PFIPC could not have operated from the Federal Secretariat, maintained bank accounts, or received government funding without high-level support from within the presidency.

Citing official documents, Frank highlighted that the PFIPC allegedly received government resources, including police escorts and vehicles. He also pointed to a letter dated August 7, 2025, from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, which purportedly authorized the agency to recruit 300 staff members, raising further questions about how such an entity operated within the government framework.
