Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the gubernatorial standard-bearer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has officially introduced Mr. Adesoji Adedeji as his running mate for the upcoming 2027 general election. Mr. Adedeji is the younger sibling of Dr. Zacheus Adedeji, who currently serves as the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
Senator Alli represents the city of Ibadan, whereas his deputy candidate, Mr. Adedeji, originates from Iwo Ate in the Ogo Oluwa local government area, located within the Ogbomoso geopolitical zone. During the official ceremony, Gbenga Olayemi, the APC Deputy National Auditor, handed the formal Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination papers to Senator Alli.
Following the presentation, Senator Alli publicly declared Mr. Adedeji as his chosen partner for the executive ticket. Party officials at the event urged the rank and file to unite and prioritize the party’s success, highlighting that the APC has been out of state government for eight years. Supporters were encouraged to set aside past grievances and focus their collective efforts on securing a victory in the 2027 polls.
