Keyamo Advocates Leveraging Miss World to Boost Nigeria’s Tourism Profile

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has urged for the strategic utilization of international events such as the Miss World pageant to highlight Nigeria’s cultural wealth and tourism offerings. During a meeting on Tuesday with Tamunosoye Karibi-George and her delegation in anticipation of the upcoming competition in Vietnam, Keyamo emphasized that the aviation and tourism industries are essential pillars for expanding the national economy and improving the country’s reputation abroad.

The minister highlighted that using such global venues is necessary to effectively present Nigeria’s assets to the world. Furthermore, Keyamo announced that his ministry plans to collaborate with international airlines serving Nigeria to seek sponsorship for Karibi-George’s travel through their corporate social responsibility programs. He remains optimistic that Nigeria’s representative will act as a powerful ambassador, bolstering the nation’s standing on an international platform.
