The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has instructed future pilgrims to pay a down payment of N7.5 million for the 2027 Hajj. Alhaji Ahmed Umar, the agency’s Director-General, announced this decision on Wednesday in Dutse through a statement released by spokesperson Habibu Yarima.
During a gathering of regional officials, Umar explained that this step is essential for ensuring an organized and smooth pilgrimage experience. He highlighted that there are only 87 days left before the deadline mandated by the National Hajj and Umrah Commission of Saudi Arabia occurs in September.
Umar instructed his team to remain alert, manage the distribution of Hajj slots carefully, and encourage participants to finalize their payments promptly. Additionally, he expressed appreciation for Governor Umar Namadi for his continued assistance to the board.
