A unified group representing Concerned Nigerians in Diaspora United Kingdom, the Assembly of Lagos Youths, and Concerned Fulani People of Nigeria has rejected accusations leveled at Femi Gbajabiamila, the President’s Chief of Staff. These organizations labeled the recent claims as groundless attempts to divert public focus.
This collective response was issued by leaders including Kofo Williams, Abanikanda Olumoro, Ibrahim Barkindo Chubado, and Lasisi Robert. They addressed a widely circulated video that connected the Chief of Staff to financial controversies regarding the Presidential Fiscal and Investment Policy Commission (PFIPC). The coalition argued these accusations lack verification and seem designed to damage Gbajabiamila’s reputation, warning against eroding public trust without proof.
The dispute emerged after claims surfaced that the PFIPC, which Gbajabiamila reportedly disassociated himself from, appeared in the 2026 budget proposal alongside the Presidential Economic Advisory Council with a total budget request surpassing N1.3 billion. The group emphasized that although democratic governance demands accountability, public discussions should rely on documented facts rather than hearsay. They advised critics with concerns regarding budget allocations to engage the National Assembly, maintaining that government representatives should be evaluated based on verified information rather than conjecture.
