NLO Investigates Referee and Match Commissioner Over Leaked Documentation

The Nationwide League One is investigating a referee and match commissioner for allegedly leaking a sensitive match report to a club official following a playoff game.

The Nationwide League One (NLO) has officially questioned referee Adanlawo Ayomide and match commissioner Mohammed Lateef regarding allegations that they compromised match confidentiality. This follows a one-leg playoff match between Yewa Football Academy and FC Ebedei in Akure.

The league organization warned that both officials could undergo disciplinary measures for leaking the formal match report without authorization. The league secretariat acted after receiving a written statement from Mr. Mojeed Ibrahim of Yewa Football Academy, who asserted he had gained access to the document.

According to NLO regulations, distributing match reports to team officials constitutes a breach of the league’s Code of Conduct and broader sporting ethics. Both individuals have been ordered to submit a written account of the incident within a one-day timeframe.

The NLO maintains a strict policy regarding the integrity of its matches. Should the officials fail to provide a sufficient explanation, they will face an immediate and indefinite suspension from all league-related duties.
