Two Killed in Separate Violent Attacks in Plateau State

A community leader and a local woman were killed in separate attacks in Plateau State, prompting calls for increased security.

Suspected Fulani assailants have murdered two individuals, including a 58-year-old community leader named Daniel Pulle and a woman identified as Deborah Benjamin Kak, during recent assaults in the Barkin Ladi and Riyom Local Government Areas of Plateau State.

Rwang Tengwong, spokesperson for the Berom Youth-Moulders Association, confirmed the incidents took place on Sunday evening. Pulle, who served as a leader in Gana-Ropp, was ambushed while riding his motorcycle toward his home at approximately 7:55 p.m. He died instantly after being shot near a bridge. In a related event, Deborah Benjamin Kak was attacked at her home in Lwa village. She was transported to the Jos University Teaching Hospital, where she later died from her wounds.

Journalist Kim Masara Usman verified the tragic news on social media, noting that Pulle was a non-violent individual killed while traveling to his family. The Berom Youth-Moulders Association has issued a formal call for the government to bolster security efforts to protect local residents from ongoing violence.
