Simon Jordan Identifies World Cup Favorites and Backs England for Success

Simon Jordan declares France the strongest team at the 2026 World Cup but predicts that England could secure the trophy with a measure of good fortune.

Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has identified France as the most formidable side in the current tournament. He suggests that the eventual 2026 World Cup champion will be either the French squad or the team that manages to eliminate them from the competition. During an appearance on Piers Morgan’s Sports Uncensored, Jordan stated that beating France is the key to securing the title.

Regarding the England team, Jordan acknowledged a sense of gloom surrounding their performance but remains optimistic. He expressed confidence that, provided they receive some favorable fortune, the English team could secure the championship trophy. While he noted he would not be placing any wagers, he explicitly declared his support for England to win the tournament. Currently, both France and Argentina hold undefeated records in the competition. England, despite failing to defeat Ghana, managed to progress to the knockout stages as group leaders.
